Making WEYVs by Streaming Music
Do any of you have that one song that takes you back to a certain time– the place, the sights, the sounds, the smell? I’ve found that music is something that reminds me of specific life events. From “Rather Be” reminding me of my Freshman year beach week in Myrtle, or “Home” reminding me of driving around Richmond with Tim, songs can really bring back some great memories.
One of my favorite, relaxing things to do used to be driving around in the car, with the windows down, just listening to music. Now that I’m in NYC and don’t have a car, I listen to my music in different ways. I’ll listen to it on my walk to work, play relaxing songs at the office, and blast it at the gym during a cardio session. Because music plays such an important role in my life, I love finding new ways to stream it as well. I mean who actually buys songs through iTunes anymore, right?
I just started using an app called WEYV, and love how easy it makes streaming music (and other things). This free-to-download app also allows you to read magazines at the same time, and I’m pumped to share it with all of you!
What is WEYV?
WEYV is an ad-free, subscription-based app that allows users to listen to music, read magazines, and (soon) watch visual content! So that means that you’ll be able to steam all of your favorites in the same place.
WEYV unifies magazines and music in one easy app , making it
seamless to read, listen, and share content all in one place instead of switching between different apps. Also, unlike other streaming services, you can choose between different subscription options to find one that best fits your lifestyle and budget. Plus, the WEYV subscriptions allow up to 25 people on the plan, aka add all of your friends and make it a party!
You also don’t event need wifi to be on the app, which is the best for living in NYC. No more boring subway rides for me! Finally, the best part about WEYV is that it’s charitable and contributes .5% of net revenue to different organizations that you can find listed under each song.
How do I WEYV?
I’ve honestly been using WEYV in so many ways. I keep the desktop version open at work to listen to music, use the app on my phone for music during my commute, and browse the magazine section when I need to unwind. I also love using WEYV while hanging out at a cute cafe (like the one in my photos here)!
Since I’m such a multi-tasker, I love that WEYV lets me listen to music and read a magazine at the same time. It’s also really customizable, so I added my favorite songs and stations to different playlists for different moods. Of course, I had to make them organized in my favorite blush color 🙂
You guys can try WEYV too: Use the code MAKEWEYVS18 to try out 2 months of WEYV for free (no credit card info is required either), click here.
