NYFW Trend Recap with Polyvore
Hey guys! Apologies for being MIA, as the last few weeks have been crazy! I went right from New York Fashion Week (NYFW) to a trip to Los Angeles to visit my little sister. Not to mention doing this while working full-time + trying to stay on top of my blog/social media can be a bit crazyyy.
Now that I’m heading home and trying to get back on schedule, I wanted to share some of my favorite NYFW trends with you. This was my second time attending the shows since I moved to NYC in June, and I always love seeing the trends for the upcoming season! Some people complain about waiting in line, the crowds, etc, but the energy at NYFW is so amazing and inspirational.. I just love it.
I’ve been using Polyvore, a website that’s designed to help you find your style and style your find. You can search fashion trends on the site and actually create your own mood boards for inspiration. I used Polyvore to help plan out my outfit for NYFW, and now I’m using it to create boards based off of what I saw at the shows!
The two trends I saw a lot of and want to share with you are metallics and bright, colorful fur. Keep in mind that February fashion week debuts designs for Fall/Winter of the year, so you will start to see these emerging trends next fall!
First up is my metallics mood board. You can click on each image below the board to shop!
Next is the bright faux fur trend.
Now onto my outfit inspiration for the look I wore to shows/events on Saturday.
The Finished NYFW Look:
