It’s officially October! Even though the temps are back in the 80s this weekend in NYC, I’ve been stocking up on my sweaters and “patiently” awaiting the cooler weather.
The Shopbop sale definitely played a role in the amount of sweaters I bought. I think I got 3 or 4 from that, and then I shopped the Bloomingdale’s sale too. OOPS. I just can’t help it. Fall is probably my favorite season to style outfits for. I love layering and wearing pants without getting too hot!
While shopping these sales and walking around the city, I’ve noticed a few sweater trends that are popular. The bell sleeves, cozy/over-sized look, and ruffles are huge this season. All three of these looks are adorable, and you can bet that I’ll be styling them all season long!
Oversized and turtlenecks are the BEST for cooler days, and I always feel so cozy in them. Thank god my office has a casual dress code, because I can’t wait to pull these out! Also, I’ve bought a few ruffled and bell sleeved sweaters, I love how they give sweaters a more feminine look.
In other news, my parents are coming to visit this weekend and I’m so excited! It’s the first time they’ve come back to visit since I’ve moved in 🙂 We have quite the weekend of eating planned at my fav NYC restaurants, and a lot of fun activities to do. Be sure to stay tuned on my Instagram stories and see what we’re doing!
Finally, here are my picks for the best sweaters of the season! As always, just click an image to shop.
