A fresh fruit piña colada with less sugar, fat, and calories? Sign me up! I love love love a refreshing frozen drink by the pool, but sometimes they leave me feeling so gross after. Piña coladas are my ultimate summertime craving, so I decided it was time to make my own healthier recipe. You really can’t go wrong with coconut, pineapple, and a little rum!
I always like to make a “specialty” drink when I’m back at my parents house, so we’ve definitely been testing out this recipe for the 4th. You guys definitely wanted the fresh fruit piña colada recipe when I gave a sneak peak on Instagram, so I’m excited to share it. This recipe is simple, quick and SO tasty! Fresh Fruit Piña Colada
Ingredients (makes 4 drinks):
- 1.5 cups fresh cut pineapple + extra for a garnish
- 1/2 cup full fat coconut milk from can + 4 tbsp of thick coconut from the top of can
- 1/2 cup white rum
- 2-3 tbsp. agave nectar
- 1 tbsp. fresh lime juice
- About 2 cups ice cubes
Directions:
- Cut your fresh pineapple into pieces and measure it out, you can save some to cut into triangles to add to a garnish on the glass
- Add all ingredients to your blender
- Blend
- Pour + Enjoy!
