Hilton Head is a cute island located in South Carolina, and my family has been going here for years. Last month, we went on a family trip at the end of summer and it was so relaxing. Hilton Head has a low-key feel that allows you to unwind by the beach. Here is a quick travel guide of some of my favorite things in HHI (besides laying by the ocean of course).

What to do:
Visit the Harbour Town Lighthouse- A lighthouse is a must-do on any beach trip, and this one has the classic white and red stripes that make it photo worthy.
Play mini golf– Channel your inner child and play a fun game of mini golf! We went to Legendary Golf Course… obviously, it must be the best.
Ride bikes- Okay, I have to admit that I’m not the best bike rider.. but it is fun to bike along the gorgeous, tree-lined paths in Hilton Head. There are bike rental shops everywhere, and my favorite paths are in the Sea Pines Plantation. Once we even saw baby alligators hatching!
Shelter Cove– Visit Shelter Cove for a big selection of shops and restaurants that are all harbourside. We’ve been coming here since we were kids and used to love watching Shannon Tanner’s live music performances.

Trattoria Divina– An authentic Italian restaurant with a nice pasta selection. I really enjoyed the brie appetizer and the mushroom ravioli. They also have a special dessert in an ice sculpture! (see above)
Santa Fe Cafe– Santa Fe Cafe serves refined Mexican food in a traditional, yet upscale atmosphere. The presentation is just as good as the food, and their tortilla soup is amazing.
Charbar Co.- Voted the #1 burgers on the island, and this place stays true to that title. There is nothing better than eating a burger outside, while listening to live music on vacation.
The Ice Cream Cone– Well, we were definitely regulars here. I love my desserts and always need ice cream on vacation! This spot has the best flavors and homemade ice cream.
What are some of your favorite spots in Hilton Head?

Lauren
