Tim and I met at school at The University of Richmond in Virginia, and we just knew we wanted to get married in the area. It’s so gorgeous and reminds us of those happy college days. We went back to visit our venue this past fall, and also met up with our wonderful photographer. Shannon Moffit is our wedding photographer and also shot our engagement photos. She’s just the best!
I also wanted to share a few tips for engagement photos that I’ve heard and learned from doing ours.
- Act natural! Some of the best photos are when you’re acting natural and having fun with your partner. I loved ours when we were laughing, dancing, and walking around.
- Pick complementary outfits. Make sure you try on your outfits beforehand and see that they coordinate well together. I opted to do a semi-casual fall dress and a denim outfit to fit the season. I figured I’d be having enough white dress photos in the future.
- Practice makes perfect. Take some “practice” photos with friends or family so you know which angles you prefer for your soot.
