Pumped for Pumpkins

It’s almost Halloween, and you know what that means… pumpkins! From carving to baking pies and drinking pumpkin spice lattes, my friends and I are obsessed.
If you haven’t gotten your pumpkins yet and want the full experience, I recommend going to a pumpkin patch!
I stopped by Lloyd Family Farms with my boyfriend to pick out our pumpkins and do some of the numerous fall activities. It has a large pumpkin patch, hay rides, a petting zoo and even a corn maze.  We loved walking around on this nice day and finding the perfect pumpkins!
After you get your pumpkins, there are a variety of ways that you could decorate them! Carving is the classic way, but I’ve also been getting into painting my pumpkins the past few years. It takes less effort and can look really cute 🙂
Here are some of my favorite ideas for pumpkin decorating inspo:
1. The chalkboard pumpkin

Paint your pumpkin with chalkboard paint and write on it in chalk! This is nice because you can change the message that you display.
2. The disco ball pumpkin

Cut your pumpkin and hollow it out like you would normally do. Next, use a pumpkin carving kit to punch out round circles in the pumpkin and add a candle or light on the inside. When you light it, it will shine through the small holes.
3. The monogram pumpkin

Paint your pumpkin whatever color you desire, and then use a different color of paint to draw your monogram on it. A simple, yet cute way to decorate.
I’d love to hear your creative ways to decorate pumpkins!

Lauren
