Do you have a special spot that you like to visit for vacations?! I feel like Miami has become that place for me, and I’m not mad about it 🙂 It’s such a quick flight from NYC and I feel like I’m in a completely different world when I get there.
Tim and I recently took a long weekend trip to relax and it was amazing! It was my 5th (I think?) time in Miami, and Tim’s first, so it was fun to show him around the area. We decided to stay at The Kimpton Angler’s Hotel in South Beach and it was so cute! I loved how the resort had a boutique feel, but the amenities of a larger hotel.
First up, the rooftop pool! We definitely spent most of our time here and soaked up the sun. There were plenty of chairs to lounge in and they even provide sunscreen for guests! Even though the hotel isn’t right on the beach, it’s only a 5-minute walk away. The Angler’s Hotel provides towels and a beach bag for you to use, so you can just walk over and spend the day there.
Our room was also spacious for vacation, and I loved the decor that they used! It was trendy, but also had beachy vibes to it. The bed was oh SO comfy. It truly felt like a sanctuary to enjoy while we relaxed.
Now, I think our favorite part about the hotel was the wine social hour everyday! They had both whites and reds, along with snacks, for all of the guests to enjoy. It was super fun to meet other hotel guests and sip on some vino before getting ready for dinner.
For food, we visited some of my favorites on South Beach, including Naked Taco and Under the Mango Tree. We also explored the Brickell area for La Centrale and then Coral Cables for Cafe Demetrio! Believe me, we never went hungry 🙂 The Angler’s Hotel is actually opening their own restaurant, Seawell, this Fall and we got to preview a few menu items! You can see the Lobster rolls pictured above, and the oysters didn’t disappoint either. I can’t wait to go back and visit when it’s fully opened! In the meantime, the Minnow Bar will serve you tasty drinks.
