My Week:
This section is where I always include my pit and peak of the week (thank you Kardashians). Think of it as your high and low of the week.
Pit- The pit of my week was adjusting to being back to work after a nice winter break and vacation! I’m missing my family already.
Peak- The peek of my week was attending a super fun Estee Lauder launch event and prepping for NYFW!

Hedi Slimane Joins Céline- He is set to join the brand on Feb. 1 and already has big plans. Slimane announced his plans to add emphasis on menswear, couture, and fragrance. WWD
Kate Moss and Gigi Hadid model together for the first time- Leave it to Stuart Weitzman to bring these two iconic supermodels together. Moss and Hadid will be starring in the line’s Spring 2018 advertising campaign. Bazaar
CVS to stop altering beauty images in marketing campaigns- In April, CVS vows to stop altering images for marketing campaigns, online, advertisements, and social media. While it can only promise this for owned brands, it is also asking beauty brands that it distributes to follow the lead. WSJ
Instagram releases a new DM feature that you may want to disable– Is there any privacy nowadays? Instagram’s newest rollout includes notifying followers in direct messaging when you were last active on the app. Don’t worry, you can turn this off by going to settings and disabling “show activity status.” Refinery29
Vera Wang designs confectionery collaboration with Lauderée- The line includes coconut crème chantilly macarons, coconut and mango wedding cakes, coconut and mango mini cakes, and a cake made out of coconut crème chantilly macarons. Her cakes are adorned with sugar flowers and topped with cascading bows. These pretty designs come with a high price tag though, with individual mini cakes starting at $20. Vogue
Spotify launches new ‘Spotlight’ format for podcasting– Spotify announced a new format called Spotlight that will help add visual elements into podcasting. Spotlight will offer up content in playlist format, which visual elements available on devices using the Spotify app. TechCrunch

This is such a great roundup! I had no idea about the most recent change to Insta so thanks for the heads up and I am so happy that CVS is no longer going to alter beauty images!! Such a big step in the right direction!
